The CDS and MSD data serve as a means to ensure that New York State is providing the best services to its citizens and achieving the best outcomes possible within current standards of care. From the largest organization to the smallest provider, program staff have a desire to assist New Yorkers to work, learn, live, and participate fully in their communities.

The ability of CDS, MSD, IPMES and Workscopes to provide an accurate assessment of program performance depends on accurate, timely data reporting. The training presented in this course was developed in an effort to ensure that Program Administrators and the OASAS Field Office Staff are aware of the reporting review features available in CDS and MSD, how best to use them, and some possible actions to take if and when data issues are discovered.

In the next module, you will learn about the resources available to you from NY OASAS to help manage your program.
